Princess Grace Returns Home With “From Philadelphia to Monaco: Grace Kelly Beyond the Icon”

You can get a taste of the real Grace Kelly in an exhibition that has traveled across the continents to make its only landing in the United States near Philadelphia.

“From Philadelphia to Monaco: Grace Kelly Beyond the Icon” opens at the James  A. Michener Museum in Doylestown, near the Bucks County Playhouse where Grace Kelly did some early performances and  less than an hour from East Falls (the neighborhood in the Northwest section of Philadelphia)  where Grace Kelly grew up.

Directly from the archives of the Palace of Monaco,  the “Grace Kelly Beyond the Icon” Museum exhibit illustrates her life through letters, photographs, awards, couture fashion and other personal artifacts, as well as film clips, playbills, home movies and souvenirs from her acting career.

Amidst a beautiful  setting you can trace the unique path Grace Kelly took from Philadelphia to Monaco, as you discover the life of Grace Kelly (1929-1982) beyond the fairy tale. This museum installation provides a glimpse into the many facets of Grace Kelly – from a Hollywood legend, fashion style icon, Princess of Monaco, United Nations advocate for children around the world, and international proponent for the arts and culture.
