This newest documentary may not have any ‘new’ information, but even the most dedicated Grace Kelly fan will see images they have never seen before. This is why the new book “My Days with Princess Grace of Monaco” is so refreshing, as it finally brings to the people what they have been yearning for – a deep insight into what Princess Grace was really like as a person, and as a wife, mother and friend. The documentary “Monaco (the Rock) was Almost Perfect” does a better job than most films at documenting not just the life of Grace Kelly, but also Prince Rainier, Princess Caroline, Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie. Sadly, this version is only in French, but it is worth watching to see some of the rare footage, including some taken by Princess Grace herself! Highlights include a look at non-public rooms in the Palace, candid shots from their private retreat at Rocagel, and a rare glimpse at Princess Grace’s last movie that has been kept locked away in the Palace vaults.
